New Trade Show Scheme Cuts Costs for New Shows launched at Singapore Expo

191

US and European based exhibition organizers can now create and launch new trade shows at Singapore Expo while enjoying reduced up-front financial costs under a new scheme – the New Trade Show Launch Scheme. This is the first time such a scheme is available at Singapore Expo, the largest MICE venue in Singapore. The scheme helps USA and Europe export their businesses, brands, products, services and know how to the new and hungry markets in Asia and beyond.

SINGEX – the manager and operator of Singapore Expo, launched this initiative to help drive the creation of international shows to boost profitability for organizers, and to ease the financial risks associated with new launch shows. SINGEX hopes that this winning situation for organizers will encourage them to create new shows at Singapore Expo.

SINGEX Group General Manager, Mr Matthew Meredith emphasized, “The key element of the scheme is to reduce an organiser’s upfront risk of launching a new show. Our extremely attractive tenancy rate, deposit, payment and even cancellation terms have been designed specifically to encourage international organizers to bring their shows to Singapore.”

Through the New Trade Show Launch Scheme, exposure, awareness and global trade platforms for these new shows can be built up in a systematic way for concrete long term positive results. At the same time, new show organizers are not being burdened with onerous obligations that may prevent them from launching a new event.

SINGEX initiated this scheme in support of efforts by the Singapore Exhibition and Convention Bureau (SECB), a group of the Singapore Tourism Board, to promote Singapore as the regional exhibition hub.

Mr Aloysius Arlando, Assistant Chief Executive, Business Travel and MICE Group, says, “SINGEX’s New Trade Show Launch Scheme is an excellent scheme to drive more quality international trade shows to Singapore. It complements very well the “BE in Singapore” or Business Events in Singapore incentive scheme which aims to create, attract, anchor and grow strategic business events to propel the growth of the MICE industry in Singapore. Through these schemes, business events planners and organizers can certainly look forward to receiving even more value-add benefits to stage their events here. At the same time, the SECB will continue to collaborate with key industry partners such as SINGEX to enhance Singapore’s appeal as a premier MICE destination.”

SINGEX Group General Manager Mr Matthew Meredith says, “We welcome new trade shows to our ample and versatile ground level multipurpose hall spaces at Singapore Expo. Both local and foreign organizers are entitled to participate in this attractive scheme. Our scheme provides the foundation to help them build a strong future for their new shows and nurture them for long term sustained growth.”

To benefit from this scheme, shows must be held for the first time at Singapore Expo. They must have original content and their own specific identity and promotional materials and campaigns dedicated to exhibitors and business visitors. The profiles of the shows have to be different from other existing shows held at Singapore Expo to qualify as being a new show. The new shows should be trade oriented, that is, business to business or government to business. Full details of the exact terms of the scheme are available from SINGEX.

The scheme relates to hall space rental at Singapore Expo, comprising 100,000 sqm from 10 halls of 10,000 sqm each. All halls are equipped with the latest IT and exhibition technology for full connectivity and convenience.

SINGEX also has integrated exhibition organizing services offering total solutions for every type of show from a broad spectrum of industries. It has been a pioneer in the MICE industry for over 28 years in exhibition venue management, and then expanding its industry know-how to conceptualise, create, execute and deliver new and established events.

With all these privileges and support to build up new shows, far-sighted exhibition organizers will find SINGEX the best partner and source of solutions; and Singapore Expo the most appropriate and most prudent place to launch their events to the region and the world.
